Moser Consulting Supports Google Cloud Dataproc

Moser Consulting, a Google Cloud Platform Partner, is pleased to announce their support of Google Cloud Dataproc. The Indianapolis-based consulting firm will continue to assist businesses nationwide to adopt Google Cloud Platform and specifically leverage Cloud Dataproc.

Google Cloud Dataproc is a managed Hadoop and Spark service that supports MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Spark, Spark SQL, and PySpark, and allows businesses to easily process big datasets at low costs. Cloud Dataproc is integrated across Google Cloud Platform products to give customers a powerful and complete data processing platform.

According to Brice Giesbrecht, Practice Director of Big Data Services at Moser, “Google Cloud Dataproc allows Moser to develop and deploy data processing solutions that leverage other key Google Cloud Platform services to quickly address our clients’ needs. Moser's 'Quick Start Lambda Architecture' project is a great example of this, allowing our clients to setup both streaming and batch analytics capabilities within a matter of hours, not days or weeks.”

Cloud Dataproc can quickly create clusters and allows them to be resized, at any time, giving customers unprecedented scalability. The service also uses Google Cloud Platform pricing principles to give customers a low price and easy to understand price structure based on actual minute-to-minute usage time.

“The beauty of Cloud Dataproc is that it allows you to create a native Hadoop cluster in a matter of seconds,” said Willy Demis, a Senior Consultant with Moser Consulting’s Big Data Services team. “It’s phenomenally convenient.”

Demis also explained that, since Cloud Dataproc integrates across Google Cloud Platform products, customers won’t need to devote valuable time to architect, purchase, and deploy hardware in their terrestrial datacenter. “That also makes Google Cloud Dataproc invaluable in developing proof of concept scenarios and models,” he said.

Moser Consulting was founded in 1996 by Ty and Paula Moser. Under their leadership, the organization has steadily grown to more than 200 employees with operations in Indianapolis and Baltimore. Moser is also recognized as one of the "Best Places to Work" in Indiana and among the "Top Workplaces" in Baltimore by local media. Ty was named one of the Indianapolis Business Journal's 40 Under 40 in 2004.
